DONNA FLAMMINO SUPERB AS OPTIMIST EUCHRE STARTS

Oshawa, Sept 15th…Donna Flammino flexed her Euchre talents as third season opened of Optimist Monday Night action on Monday at Johnny’s Eatery located at 850 King St. W Oshawa for another season.
Judging by the attendance and enhaustiaum it looks like another banner year is ahead for our membership. Profits from this 25 week program will go directly back into our community supporting “Youth Projects” in Oshawa. Flammino. compiled a brilliant night of cagey card playing scoring 88 points including a pair important and timely lone hands. Flammino reached double digits figures during four separate occassions. She scored 14 points as a partner with Jackie Bamber, 13 addition points toiling beside Jackie’s husband Greg, another dozen points with Frank Kavanaugh and increased her total registering 11 additional points during the opening hand toiling with University Of Waterloo graduate Stevie Milosh.

Last year this veteran starlet appeared in 19 games massing 1,205 points.

For her outstanding effort, she pocked $20.00 cash.

A superb crowd of 34 players toiled during the classic event producing excellent bonding while enjoying tons of laughs and fun.

Right on Flammino’s heels was Pauline Richardson with 86 points including 4 lone hand efforts. She was force to share top billing in this department with her son Miles last years overall champion, Patricia Gunter, Greg Bamber, John Brooks, and Stevie Milosh. A special high card draw was created for a tie-breaker result with Greg Bamber being awarded the new prize of a bottle of Optimist Napa Valley Wine.
