Ella Perry Wins $10k at Optimist Bing Aug 16

Whitby, August 16…Whitby resident Ella Perry has ten thousand reasons to be happy after playing at the Optimist Club of Oshawa members bi-monthy Bingo,Appearinq as one of 140 players, she was overjoyed with the windfall result. It was the largest payout of the ‘07-’08 bingo event year held at the LaGala Banquet Hall lower level by the Hideaway Charties Association (HCA).

The was oue largest crowd since our March 29th – a gathering of 141 turned out.Needless to say those in attendance where in a “BUZZ” about her windfall.The major question still remains…. has the HCA 40 charity membership collectively the start of a mammoth turn around collectively in the on going battle with the Oshawa Red Barn and Pickering’s Delta Hall in an overhaul to regain the number one status within Durham Region. Only time will tell. A new larger payout format is being introduced on Sept. 1st. It is our understanding the new changes will operate with increased pay-outs will remain firm.

Our Y.T.D. attendance now stands at 3,411 covering 23 events for an average of 148.3 players per event covering our Optimist Calendar year which operates from October lst, 2007.We have three (3) remaining events scheduled Aug 30,and in Sept on 13/27. This will complete Club president’s Steven Hambley’s term in office.President elect Petrina Perrneau takes over as Oshawa president on Oct lst, 2008. History has demonstrated during the summer months attendance always hits a low point. As a result,it reflects in our monthly revenue sharing pooling cheques.
