‘GENS” RAFFLE DUCATS ON SALE OCT 23

Oshawa - Final plans have been established with the superb cooperation from Margaret Arnold the Property Administrator at 5-Points Mall and  Debbie Sychra from the Optimist  Insurance Co “Infinity” from Des Moines Iowa establishing our 2nd annual Optimist Club Fundraiser “Optimist Hockey Nite In Oshawa” Raffle tickets will go on sale on effecive Thursday, October 23rd at the Five Points (Near the Dollarama) starting at 10 am.
Other sale dates are Oct 24, 25,27, Nov 20,21,22,23 during Mall time hours. Working in conjunction with City of Oshawa official Peggy Kohls and the GM Centre’sAmy Neil the manager of premium seating and group sales the Optimist Club of Oshawa members where awarded 20 tickets to raffle in aid of the 25th annual Xmas  Hamper/Toy Drive. On  Sun. Dec. 21 over 120 Optimist and Friends will be delivering 100 food hampers and toys to needy Oshawa families in time for Christmas. At last years raffle we deposited $1,100.00 towards payment of the hampers.
The two series of tickets are for January games against Ontario Hockey League
(OHL)East Division arch rivals the Peterborough “Petes”  for 12 tickets on Jan. 11th followed by 8 more ducats for the Belleville Bulls (Memorial Cup Finalist ‘08) game on Jan. 25th. Both games are Sunday dates with the puck dropping at 6:05 pm.
