GIVE ME “5″ PERRINEAU ACCEPTS CHALLENGE

Oshawa, Oct lst …Petrina Perrineau has accepted the changelle from Cenon Governor Brian Wick about the “Give Me 5″ progam the official motto for Optimist International for the 2008-2009 year. She officially became the 28th president of the Oshawa club witness fellow Optimist and friends. At the gala affair, Perrineau becomes the 5th Oshawa female presidents. Others first ladies include Susan Machnik 2007, Lynn Dunstall 2003, Jackie Bouillon 1998, Angie Beal 1996. She replaces Stephen Hambley who has held the president’s chair twice in ‘05 and ‘08 Joining her executive are  secretary Stephen Hambley,treasurer Jim Shaw, directors Joe Dryson and Marg Ross and webmaster Matthew Dykstra an appointed position.
In her acceptance speach she announced her own 5 Point program. (1) increase club enrollment (2) maintain our annual “Youth” and community event (3) work in complete cooperation with the fellow Durham Region zone 8 clubs (Ajax, Brooklin, Uxbridge and Whitby) (4) build another Oshawa club (5)seek out the experience advise from her executive.
