GORDON & PNIANSKAS FLEX THEIR EUCHRE MUSCLE

Oshawa,Nov 05… Gus Gordon and Peter Pnianskas each produced break-out efforts showcasing their individual playing talents at the weekly Oshawa Optimist members sponsored Monday Night Progressive Euchre party at Johnny’s Orginal Eatery in the King/Thorton Plaza.

Gordon was tardy arriving a few moments late having to attend a volunteers meeting. He didn’t lose any of his edge demonstrating intelligent, snappy play good for 82 points. His major effort occured in the 8th game playing along side his partner George Hagerty massing 15 points. He displayed nifty individual play recording four lone hands. Meanwhile Pnianskas who has his bags packed to his annual November week of golf in Myrtle Beach matched Gordon card for card.His night included five lone hand efforts good for an identical 82 points. He commented about his deadlock with Gordon… “sharing first place witgh my buddy Gus is like breaking par on any of those South Carolina course” I feel great for myself and Gus. Both players decided to split the “cash payout” each $15.00 apiece

Pat Brooks continues to be the best player overall. She totalled 75 points good for a solid third place night finish. She managed back to back lone hands thus setting the tone coming in her second game. Y.T.D. this season, she’s maintains a highstandard of excellence leading the overall point-getters with 493 accumulative points, that 12 more than Eloi Dalcourt whom she shared this honour entering play. She tops the leader-board with 17 lone hands.

Mike Horner captured the 50/50 prize of $25.00. It the second time winning. Previously he won $27.00 on October 22. Horner now joins Ken Ferrill andJay Kimble as the only two time victors this year.
