SHROVE PANCAKE TUESDAY, OPTIMIST COOKING FOR 500

OSHAWA- Feb 05th….More pancakes please…more syrup please – that will be cry from the hungry students at St. Thomas Aquainas Catholic Schools on Shrove Tuesday (Feb 05) morning. A estimated 500 students,teachers and PTA workers will be treated to Special Optimist Style Delicious Pancake Breakfast

Club president Stephen Hambley said “getting out in the community and relating to the Youth is what the Optimist are all about” Hambley was have his griddle cooking up a storm with four other chefs in this community project.

Optimist Miles Richardson an employee at the schools remarked “the kids always look forward to this annual event especially when the Optimist are involved” No one ever goes hungry, Richardson continued. Working in conjunction with the PTA the Optimist will be dishing out “Hot Pancakes” commence from the morning school bell until high noon”
