Steve Hambley Being Installed As Our 27th President

Oshawa, Sept 25… Stephen Hambley a long term dedicated Optimist will officially accept the Oshawa’s president position on Tuesday, Sept 25th at Optimist Headerquarters (Southmead Park) located at 113 Kawartha Street. Hambley formerly held the president’s duties during the 2005-2006 Optimist Calendar year. He will become only the second two-time president. Previously Donald Webb held this position on three separate occasion occurring in 1994 (our 13th president), 2002 (out 21st president) and again in 2004 (our 23rd president).

Optimist head chef Ruth Brock and her assistant Marjorie Shaw are busy preparing another delicious sit-down meal consisiting of a tossed salad, ham with pineapple, specialized potatoes, veggies,
dinner roll, desert with either coffee or tea. The usual budget low $10.00 charge for Optimist attending will prevail. Sit down dinner begins at 6:30 pm sharp.

Many of Hambley’s long time friends and fellow Optimist will be in attendance including incoming Cenon Governor Brian Wick, current zone 8 Governor Rick Hubbard, Jim Dimitroff (’05) and Optimist Ted Bailey (former Oshawa president in 2000). Other invited guest include Optimist Terry Twocock current Cenon
Governor who term ends officially on September 30th and Anthony Warren the Zone 8 Lt Governor in 2006-2007.
