WEEK 21, PRODUCES THANKSGIVING WEEK-END CAR RAFFLE SALES OVER $1K

OSHAWA,,Oct 14 - Operating with a makeshift,deplatedd holiday sales staff the Optimist Club of Oshawa members volunteer Car Raffle sales staff still managed to collect $1,065.00 in net ticket sales held over the Thanksgiving weekend at Price Chopper Food Mart located at the Oshawa./bordeline. Many voluenteers were away attending family functions in celebrating the final long summer weekend.
After a  sakes output producing  less than $100.00 on Fri. Oct 9th am, sales did pickup after the severe rain showers ceased.reported veteran volunteer Ronald “Batman” For the three days worked final sales resulted in $1,085.00 het beig deposited. Weekend volunteer workers included Ronald ‘Batman’ Hele, Peter Pniauskas, Margaretr Ross, Neil Metcalf, Tyler MacDonald, Brian Tremlbey, Eric Goodwin, Stephen Hambley and Jim Shaw.  Michael Horner  and Johnny Miilosh made a cameo appearance  late Sunday afternoon for about 15 minutes each.
This weekend the Optimist Car Raffle sales team move inside at the Five Points Mall located at the corner of Ritson Rd N and Taunton Rd E. operating Maill hours on Wed. Oct 14th, Thur,, Oct 15th, Fri. Oct 16 and Sat., Oct 17th. Volunteer sales staff  are required for all thefour days.
Only nine weeks remain before the vechile staff complete the raffle sales. Draw date is set for Sun. Dec 20th.
